As a company, since its inception over 4 years ago, Smart Planter has been successfully and steadily growing and we have gained great traction and visibility across Continent Eastwood and Eastwood Australia for our innovative and pioneering products that was borne out of a thought of recycling leftover materials to good use.

The makers of Sydney Smart Planter Boxes, Pacemakers Components Pty Ltd have been around since 1983 and we have been manufacturing vertical blinds from vinyl slate. In fact, even in this we were the first pioneers to engage in this. And even today we are the only company in Australia making blinds out of vinyl slate.

How the Smart Planter idea was born

When making vinyl slate blinds, we discovered that the resultant wastage was a lot and disposing it off wasn’t as easy or since the waste was at times too much, we started thinking ways of recycling it and putting it to good use. We realized that the recycled product should be useful, noticeable and make a difference. And that is when we struck upon this pioneering idea of making planter boxes from vinyl slate.
